January 2018 - Email Campaign Successes


Are you or do you know a business owner that has either tried email marketing and thought it was a complete waste of time, or perhaps considered it but not sure if it’s the right thing to do?

Done properly, email marketing can be cost-effective means of promoting your business and its products and services to a range of audiences, including existing and potential customers.

To give you an idea of what can be achieved with email marketing, here’s a couple of recent examples:

Last week (w/c 29th January 2018), I sent out a Skills Shop email campaign to promote owner Phil’s upcoming first aid training courses.  It was successfully delivered to 96.9% of his 1,957 subscribers.  The average email campaign open rate for the education & training sector is 13.3%.  Phil’s campaign achieved 38% - almost 3 times the industry average.

Also last week, I sent out an invitation to a list of over 1,300 Cumbrian businesses for the BNI Kendal networking group.  It was successfully delivered to over 93% of contacts and was opened by 52.9% of recipients – almost 4 times the industry average.  In addition, 8.3% of the recipients clicked through to the BNI Kendal Trybooking web page - 6 times the industry average click rate.
